The Moral Complexity

Bad Sisters is unusual in that its central moral problem is the show's point. The question of whether murdering an abuser to protect his victim is justified is not answered easily — and the show is wise enough not to answer it easily. The sisters are sympathetic; their target is genuinely awful; the consequences are real.

Romans 12:19's instruction about vengeance belonging to God speaks directly to the sisters' situation — and the show shows the cost of the conspiracy alongside sympathy for the conspirators.
