The film became the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time, earning over $1.3 billion worldwide.
The film is deliberately transgressive — its entire identity is built on being the crude, violent, fourth-wall-breaking exception in a PG-13 superhero landscape. It is aware of what it is and leans into it.
Language: Extreme profanity throughout every scene. Deadpool movies have always been distinguished by pervasive strong language, and this film continues that tradition aggressively.
