Wild Kratts is a PBS Kids animated show featuring Chris and Martin Kratt who use Creature Power Suits to interact with animals in the wild. It combines genuine animal education with superhero adventure. It is one of the most consistently excellent educational children's shows available.
Wild Kratts teaches children to marvel at the natural world — the extraordinary diversity of animals, their adaptations, their behaviors, their ecosystems. From a Christian perspective, this is education in the wonders of God's creation. Psalm 104 describes God's delight in the creatures he made; Wild Kratts consistently evokes that same sense of wonder without naming it theologically.
The Kratt brothers model scientific curiosity, environmental stewardship, and genuine love for the animals they study. These are values consistent with the Genesis 2:15 mandate to "work and take care" of creation. The show depicts nature with accuracy and enthusiasm.
No violence (though predator/prey relationships are depicted accurately and age-appropriately), no sexual content, no profanity, no spiritual concerns. The show uses evolution vocabulary in discussing animal adaptation — this is the standard scientific framing and most Christian families engage it as the descriptive language of natural history without treating it as a theological statement. See Wild Kratts overview. Appropriate from age 3+.
